Ginny Edwards Maxwell
Lead Designer / Owner
Ginny’s passion for design was shaped from a young age, growing up on St. Thomas in a family of builders, artists, environmentalists, and designers. Surrounded by the island’s natural beauty and distinctive architecture, she developed an enduring appreciation for spaces that feel both intentional and connected to their environment. Before returning to St. Thomas with her husband and two sons, Ginny built a career in New York City’s fashion industry as a renowned model scout and manager, honing a refined eye for aesthetics, detail, and storytelling—skills that now inform her approach to interior design.
In the spring of 2021, she founded Seachange Home Interior Design Studio, originally launched as a furniture store in Crosswinds on St. Thomas’s East End. The studio quickly evolved into a full-service interior design practice, serving clients throughout the Virgin Islands and beyond. By 2023, Seachange had expanded into a flagship studio at Yacht Haven Grande with a dedicated warehouse near the ports, enhancing its ability to manage complex, large-scale projects with ease. Today, Ginny works between New York City and the Virgin Islands, blending island sensibility with global perspective to deliver interiors that are thoughtful, elegant, and deeply personal.
